So what’s happenin’?

1. The style of this blog sucks. I get tons of spam comments on it, zero actuals, and it doesn’t even have any real info. Might switch it from wordpress to blogger for “posting to” ease also.
2. Because this is my public brandname’s blog I have to keep things here somewhat neutral and as a result see point #1
   • Because I rant occasionally I’ve decided to own my opinions and have set up a blog/website/show for that purpose.
   • I think it is good to speak up when others are keeping silent (for whatever reason),
   • Too many commentators have opinions I do not agree with, they present misleading facts,  and they will not let you respond, and as a bigoted hypocrite I have a responsibility to say something.
   • Even though there can only be one Kamloopian, people accuse me of not using my name.
   • I needed a different outlet from The Serfs out West, which is more of an angry Green Peasant.
3. I’ve almost got some videos up. I’m in the editing stage.
4. I’m behind on preparing the vice president report and community survey questions for Thursday’s meeting of the WCDS so not too late to send me a note and have me bring it up.

As an old biker and another rebel without a cause, man I hope this guy has an easy ride out of here. Giving some thought to Bro’s who have gone before and hope they’ll tune up his bike for him..

BC  is relocating the provincial forest fire control headquarters from Victoria to Kamloops.

Construction of a $4.5-million Wildfire Co-ordination Centre by the airport is almost complete and staff will be moving in shortly. Kamloops was chosen because it is already home to the provincial Air Tanker Centre and the well used Kamloops Fire Centre.

The rune cast shows this is where most of the wildfires are going to happen. The forest is tinder dry, less rain, low snow packs, and pine beetle kill has made the sticks a scarier place to go. The cast also says they will pull camping this year so if you want to go out do it quick and be friggin’ careful.

Spring time is coming. Wah-hoo!

Kind of a depressing time for some. Everything is new, rebirth, people getting married, plans for the year, etcetera, and comparatively one tends to feel they are well, …somewhat stagnant. Plus being broke doesn’t help.

So, I’m cleaning out the cobwebs, settin’ some goals, and will put the finds on the White Elephant’s sales page. Which coincidentally updating is the first item on the list of things to do. It and the Green Peasant as spring time is coming.

Cripes I detest snipers!

Now don’t get me wrong, there are two types. In a past life I was a dang good one. The ones I’m talking about have no patience or skills.

Sniper – one who elevates their status and/or energies at the expense of another. A well being thief.

These people make themselves feel better by dragging others down below them, either to trod on or just to feel better knowing someone is feeling worse. They are the ones who  say, “Yeah, but…”. They deliver the zinger to deflate any positive impression of one’s self. Why? Who the frig knows!

Externalizing your problems doesn’t make them go away. It just validates the crap you say to yourself in your head when you’re feeling bad (or when you are actually thinking about the ripples you make).

Not much you can do about these energy vampires other than be aware of them and call them on it when you catch them at it.

To have the time to be able to sit here and type what I have rambling about in the head. To be able to sit for that long (back gives out).

Anyway, this is a what’s happening post. Here at Kamloopian.com and on twitter are probably the easiest method to contact me and or catch the latest snews. Kind of like the record industry – killing the little record stores blaming the big record chains, then killing them and blaming the down loaders. Meanwhile, …well you know the story. And why the copyright crap is unfair, RIAA, CRTC, and…

So, now the book industry wants to do the same.

Anyways, it is why I quit buying records (ya before cd’s), why I quit buying books and #$%ing overpriced magazines.

As a small business it would be nice to sell on there like the rest of the friggin world. To be able to use Google checkout would be nice also. It would be nice to not be held back by greedy whiny self interest groups and pathetic schmucks who won’t vote or do anything that might benefit someone else.

Well, …call it a spring break.

I need to take some time and scrape the shit back into a pile and line the ducks back up. I think what I’ll do is put up a question/topic form and gather some suggestions for the show. I’ll update you when I start the show up again.
